NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!

My family and I was on a contract with Planet Fitness Plattekloof until we moved away. The contract was canceled by my ex husband of which he was the account holder and payer. The gym kept my contract active without my knowledge. I received no correspondence with regards to unpaid fees for a year and a half, no idea my "account" was accumulating. Then they handed me over to an attorney for outstanding fees which was the first I heard of it. I never signed an agreement to be responsible for the account fees, they didn't request banking details nor did they inform me that I am behind on a membership (that had been canceled.) It has been 3 months that I have tried to resolve this. I first made contact with PF Head office who referred me to PF Plattekloof. The manager at Plattekloof has been trying to assist but it seems that he also, is dependant on the feedback from head office or the call center. Upon MANY MANY COUNTLESS CALLS back and forth, and promises of head office to make contact with me they ignore the situation and I keep getting calls and emails from their attorneys. I am at my wits end. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TAKING A CONTRACT OUT WITH PLANET FITNESS. THEIR WILLINGNESS TO ASSIST WHEN IT COMES TO CONTRACT CANCELLATIONS ARE HORRIFIC, LET ALONE THEIR ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEIR "MEMBERS"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
