Never sign up with Planet fitness Morningside!!!
<p>I am absolutely appalled by planet fitness Morningside and the service I received from the sales consultant and sales Manager and call center. I was a member of virgin active and was looking at moving to planet fitness as it was close to home, but was very happy at virgin active! I told the sales consultant that I wasn’t going to move if there was an activation fee. He then called me to come in on Black Friday as he’s got a very special deal. “No activation fee mentioned” I cancelled my virgin active account ! On top of that I was so excited with the deal I still referred this deal to my friend and she also signed up and cancelled virgin active, and November, December, January went by and my gym logins were not being recorded that’s when I became aware by the front desk that I owe an activation fee of R799 if I wanted to be linked to vitality! I have been battling with this since last Monday with no response after I spoke to the call center and We sat with the sales manager and sales consultant on Monday! the sales manager has just come back to say I have to pay R799 or I won’t be linked and even better I am a vitality member but because it’s not linked I’ll be paying a normal gym fee of R500 being debited on Friday!!! The Sales Manager would not let me speak to anyone above him and all he gave me was the call Centre number to speak to head of call Centre!!There has been no apology or assistance in this regard! I do not recommend Planet Fitness and be careful of the hidden fees!!!! I should have never had moved from virgin active!!! Absolutely disgusting !!!!</p>
