My account Got Debited without me paying the full amount of the activation fee.

I am not satisfied with this gyms service. My money got deducted from my account without me having paid up the application fee. I had paid R50 for the tag which amounts to R150 which means I am not officially a member there. After having spent two weeks without completing the tag fee payment, the person that recruited me to the gym told me that my membership was cancelled since I didn’t pay up the tag fee and I had never set foot in the gym. To my surprise, my money got deducted. When I called to find out how this happened they told me that they have written off my tag fee? With whose permission? Now they are telling me that if I wish to cancel I need to pay 399 for two extra months which makes absolutely no sense to me. I am a student, and I am failing to understand where these people think I will get that 399 for two extra months, apart from the money they had already taken, for a place that I have absolutely no access to, since I don’t have a tag I cannot enter the gym. So I am failing to understand exactly what I will be paying for. I called again to lodge a complaint and I was told I would get a refund since my membership wasn’t active, later on I was told that I need to pay a cancellation fee. What kind of a business ****s it’s customers. I am beyond the word Angry right now. These people are showing signs of theft and unprofessionalism.
