Miss selling

I went to Planet Fittness in Pinetown around November 2021 to find out about their packages,I dealt with a Sales guys by the name of Sam he explained to me that there was a fee you had to pay R125 to the disk of which I had to pay I told him I wanted to think about the whole thing because I know there is a cancellation fee that some companies charged .He assured me that Planet fitness did away with that fee and I would be able to cancel my membership when I needed to do so. I told him I didn't have money for disk on since their speed point was not working .Next thing sends me a picture of the proof of payment on my WhatsApp that he had made payment on my behalf and that I had to pay him back.

I went there to pay his money and then after a month I went back to their branch because I wasn't able to visit the gym so I wanted to cancel. He gave a number to call and to my surprise Sam was **** to me which was misselling in order to get a deal. I am very angry and disappointed to know that this company has these kinds of people working for them. I now I have to pay R1000 to cancel a deal I didn't really want to begin with. I am not prepared to pay anything and want my membership cancelled with immediate effect. He promised that he would correct his mistake but till now he has failed to do so and no communication has been done till date.
