Misrepresentation to obtain sales

Around August I proceeded to planet fitness Roodeport and met with the sales consultant , who then referred us to his manager Alvina.

I wanted to join planet fitness through sanlam reality as we have a life policy with sanlam.

Was advised that i will not pay the initiative fee because I’ll be with reality and I should bring my reality details so that they can be effected so that I can get a discount on my gym membership.

She further said we should pick the debit date of the 29th day of the month to allow me time to make reality membership available.

As soon as my sanlam reality details are available I will get 80% off my gym membership fee and we will change my debit order date to the 1st day of the month

The next week I provided her with all the details and to my surprise the past three months I have been debit the full membership amount.

I proceeded to her office the first month when I was debited and she advised me that I will be reimbursed my money.

Planet fitness head office will contact me to inquire if I want to be reimbursed or be credited so that I don’t get debited for the membership.

Save to say that I received no phone call from the head office and I constantly had to follow her around for an update.

The level of incompetence I received from this gym is disgusting.

She further told me that sanlam reality has been app**** to my gym membership and my partner..

Until todate I get debited on the 29 and the full gym membership.

What is heartbreaking is the fact that if it wasn’t for the fact that I will get the 80% I wouldn’t have joined...

How people misrepresent facts to sales is really disappointing
