Misrepresentation of Contract

I had enrolled for the gym membership for 1 year. After expiration, the ******s started debiting my account without prior notice and on querying, I was told that it was on an auto renewal. No consultant told me about this and have cancelled my membership with immediate effect, they should be thrown out who sell contracts without imparting full information.
