Membership Renewes Without Notice

I signed up for a one year Planet Fitness membership a year ago. I told them at the time that I only wanted it for a year. They specifically told me that per section 14 of the CPA - they would inform me in writing before the expiry of the fixed term of any month-to-month renewal and I would be able to then opt-out. I was told that before the notice came, I could not make a request not to renew.<br> <br> Predictably, despite the fact that no notice was sent, my account was debited this month. I no longer use the gym.
