Member Displayed Bullying Behaviour

I would like to share an unpleasant experience that took place at Planet Fitness Bedfordview during my Hyrox training session.

While training in the designated Hyrox training zone, another member, Mariamo Mustuafa, and her mother entered the area and began using the space that was already in active use. This directly interrupted my workout and compromised my set. I initially assumed they would notice that a training session was in progress, but they did not.

A receptionist approached politely to inform them that the area was reserved for Hyrox training. Instead of cooperating, the member became loud, rude, and confrontational toward both the staff and the members that were in Hyrox training . Even with the gym music playing, her shouting and aggressive tone were clearly audible. Her behavior was intimidating and bullying, making the environment very uncomfortable for everyone nearby.

I was deeply disappointed by how disrespectful she was to the Planet Fitness staff, who remained calm and professional throughout the situation. Longevity of membership even 15 years should never give anyone the right to disregard gym rules or treat others poorly.

I’m sharing this not to attack anyone personally, but to highlight the need for stronger enforcement of gym conduct rules to ensure a safe and respectful training space for all members. No one should be made to feel bul**** or disrespected while exercising.

I truly appreciate the Planet Fitness staff who tried to manage the situation professionally and hope management will review this matter seriously.
