****med by Planet Fitness

In September 2024 a rep by the name of Siya Kingsley opened a membership for me. He ****med me by saying I'll be paying R250 monthly under Sanlam policy. I don't have Sanlan but my sister does have. I guess the membership was opened under her policy. I was then debited 299 and when I went to the branch (Vanderbijlpark) to enquire about that, was told it's an initial amount, the monthly debits will be R400 and something is of November 2024. I immediately canceled the membership as I didn't sign up to these terms.

Planet Fiteness said I'm suppose to pay cancelation fee. I refused because I find it not fair having to pay those monies since I was being *****ulently signed up for something I didn't agree upon.

I called the head office several times, even wrote an email, till today I haven't had any response from them. They have been debiting money from my account, I had to reverse it each time. They even referred my account to lawyers. Yesterday (25.04.2025) I went to the branch again to get a feedback about these whole thing. I was told the had responded to me in Jan (to an email address I don't even know), you'll ask yourself why didn't they reply to the one I used. They even said unfortunately I still need to pay because they cannot get hold of Siya. Mind you this Siya was fired I assume, because he has endless cases of ****ming people. Is that not proof enough? Now I can't even reserve the monet they took from my account because they blocked the reversal. Please do something about this. I can't be ****med and still loosing money because of this.
