Incompetence

I have joined planet fitness in Lynwood in January of this year. I have only had admin issues thus far. The first and majour issue was that they had lost track of my funds. I deposited around 4000 rand for the membership, it had reflected at head office when I called but at the branch they just couldn't find it. After some "polite" language after a month of "losing the money" it had miraculously been found but "me the customer" had made a mistake with a reference number which they had given me. Keeping this in mind, fast forward to now. When I signed up I was told if I complete a certain amount of work outs within 8 weeks I will qualify for a bag. Fair enough. I did my thing, unfortunately I had met with an accident and I had to take 6 weeks to recover. But the card was all signed up well before then. Now i go to the branch and give the card in, firstly the lady says I need to do 4 more sessions, I didn't think much of it but I was like ok fair enough I'll go with it. But after the 4 sessions it's past the 8 week mark and they refuse to give me a bag. They say the amount of times I worked out doesn't match on the system. And they bringing a whole bunch of excuses to get out of it. Fair enough it's just a bag. But the point is don't tell me to do something and go back on your word. Or tell me I don't qualify because one day I worked out 2 times in one day. I was told 16 sessions in 8 weeks, if they had been upfront at the beginning I wouldn't have had a problem. Also I was angry and I'm in the right mind to tell the guy to watch all the camera feeds from January as he accused me for signing the card twice in one session. I get people do that but I know that I was true and have been signing once every session. I would appreciate instead of telling me all the I could have done, to go and monitor what was actually done. Because as far as im concerned how can I fill in the card. And know that I've been to gym way more than 16 times, only to have the system fall short. Bear in mind I had to manually sign in for 3 weeks due to the payment issue but it seems as if the front desk does their own think and the manager just goes on about "customer service". Ya right, I just put 4 grand down for a year service and I can't even get a bag? What customer service. As far as I'm concerned there is only issues with the admin and they always try to turn their issues and faults to make it seem as if it's the customers fault. They are quick and smiley to want the money but first to throw you under the bus. I get it's just a bag. But it's not about that. The fact that your "systems" don't work out and show true facts is more enough of a reason to quit the contract and ask for my money back. I don't need to prove anything in order to get what I rightfully paid for in the first place. So please be kind enough to follow up the issue and don't tell me that I've not been to gym enough unless you go monitor all the cameras and count the times I've been there. Because it makes no sense why the system says I failed short but at the same time Ive filled my card a long time ago and have been going to gym. If tgey were atleast true, upfront in the beginning and atleast said these are what you need to do then I'd let it go as it's purely my fault. But this turning their issues to be a customers problem really needs to stop. It's unprofessional.
