Impossible to cancel Planet fitness contract... DON'T SIGN A CONTRACT PLEASE.

Please be careful of entering into a contract with Planet fitness. When people tell you planet fitness have no ethics please believe them. We cancelled my two sons contracts in March 2020. We received a reference email from them. Telling us the final cancelation email would follow so lockdown came and it was impossible to follow up. Since we never received any more communication from them we went on under the impression all is well. Low and behold all of a sudden we receive a call from an attorney. Just to find out fees continued to accumulate. Made us pay once again and could not give us a settlement letter. This time it's a cancelation reference number but just guess it looks the same than the reference number from March. The manager tells us the reference number is binding in a court of law...... So would we have to pay another R3000 in a few months time because their systems are ineffective. What is also interesting my youngest son was 16 when they had him sign for his contract. How binding is it for an undeaged person to sign for an contract. Basically people don't do it. If you were wondering just don't do it.
