I will not go back nor recommend to anyone I know

I went to Planet Fitness Claremont. I was under the impression that they had given me a weeks free membership with no obligations to sign up. I was told I have to meet with someone who works there before I can use my free week. I met Tando. He was trying his best and telling me everything I needed to know about Planet Fitness. Even things I didn’t necessarily want to know or have any need for. Then he got his manager. The manager came out. Sat in front of me Tando stood over me. I felt intimidated and cornered. I explained to them that I could not afford their plan at the moment. They said because it was the big bosses birthday yesterday 18/07. That there was a deal for R100 sign on and R299 per month after that. I said that’s great and would be willing. Then they carried on. But I had to pay it today or they wouldn’t have any of those promotions left. Apparently there were only 15 left and he was using ones from the day prior. However I had just explained that at that moment I could not afford it. They then asked me “what are you going to do?” I thought I could then at least use my gym membership this was not the case. I went there was intimidated and then escorted out without any luck of trying the equipment to know whether I wanted to gym there or not. Then later that day I sent an email to ask them to please send the revelent information and paper work that needed to be done so I could apply for a membership. It has taken them until now 21/07. To reply and I must meet with them before 12pm tomorrow. When I wrote them stating I could come in on the 20/07 that morning had they sent all the relevent paper work required to sign up before hand.

I am outraged at this type of customer service. I may be young and a woman but that doesn’t mean you can treat me the way you have.

I will not be spending my money with you nor recommending Planet Fitness to anyone I know.
