I feel ****med

I need help. So I joined planet fitness Scottsville in October 2025. After I joined, I received an email from them claiming that the gym will be under renovations in December 2025 and they never gave us a timeliness of when it will open. They told us we should go and gym at Liberty mall which was a huge inconvenience for me since i do not have a car and requesting to planet fitness midlands mall back to my home would cost me R80 a day. Which I cannot afford the reason I joined a gym close by was because I didn't want to pay extra cost. So in November rumors went around the gym that the gym is closing for good upon learning these news I took it upon myself to call the planet fitness call center. The call centre said they were informed that the gym will be under going renovations and they don't know when it will open. I told then I need a timelines because you cannot claim the place is going under renovations and not give us a timelines while I am still paying. So I told them to freeze my account they said the will still charge me full price for December and then in January half price. So in January after I came back from home I went to planet fitness since it is in the mall to check how far are the renovations. I found that the gym is still on its original form it is closed and there are no renovations. So I called the call center again, they said that the gym is under renovations then I told them that it is not under renovation. I even have proof I took a video, they said that according to them to the manager it is under renovations, I asked to speak to the manager then they told me the manager will call me back. I told them I want them to pause my account they did not want to. I asked to cancel they said I will have to pay R1300 cancelation fee. I feel ****med. What am I paying for since I am now jogging from 1 December 2025 but I am still paying planet fitness. Please help.
