Horrible Cancellation Policy

I have been a member of Planet Fitness for almost two years. In those two years I have not gotten chance to go to Planet Fitness as often as I would have like because of work and study responsibilities. Last year November I found out I was pregnant and because of my pregnancy I was unable to exercise. When I phoned Plant Fitness to cancel my membership because I am unable to exercise and going on maternity leave with a 40% salary cut, they still requested that i pay the cancellation fee. I understand that you signed a contact but they don’t take a members changing situation into account. They keep debiting the cancellation fee even after sending an email which they did not even reply on, that because of the salary cut and having a new baby to take care of i don’t have the funds for the cancellation fee. I have never missed one payment to Planet Fitness even being unable to gym I just had to cancel my membership because of the salary cut and having other responsibilities with a new baby. I would never recommend Plant Fitness to anyone and would also never consider joining Planet Fitness again
