HANDING OVER WITH OUT NOTIFICATION

I am a member of the Planet Fitness gym in Umhlanga 'The Pearls'. I have received an SMS stating that I was handed over to attorneys.' Please call ********** with reference LA ********** '. I received this message at 10:22 on the 27 September 2018. I had been in their office(Planet Fitness) this morning at 06:30 and paid a sum of R1049.00. Not sure why 3 months were missed. Upon checking my statement the debit order amounts were being attempted but the funds were not being processed of my account. I contacted the bank and they advised that they do not know why this has been happening. I contact the attorneys and they have advised that they just receive a file and do the collections. I had advised them that I was in the Planet Fitness Gym this morning and made full payment of whatever was outstanding. They then advised that I have to now pay their fees which really angered me as I had just made full payment.They advised they are unaware of any particular details. This is truly the sickest thing as I was not made aware that my account was in arrears, if I had know I would have sourced the problem and paid immediately. Planet fitness never called or sent an SMS or an email to advise that my account was in arrears and that I will be handed over. No communication what so ever. I just received a message from the attorneys to say I was handed over. Please assist as I think this is unfair and totally *******.
