Gym or a bank?

I took out a membership with planet fitness sometime ago and everything seemed to be ok on the surface. Got what seemed like a great deal at the time with a saving bringing my membership fees down to R299 pm. As life does often so happen I wasn’t able to pay for 2 months no ones fault but my own I take responsibility. To my utter disgust and bewilderment I called planet fitness to settle arrears I was told I owe R1900... that’s interest of almost 400%. How on gods green earth did we reach that amount. If you looking to invest your money, planet fitness will give you the best return every recorded in South Africa. I requested a copy of my contract going on 2 months ago, still haven’t recieved it. I called the buzz shopping Centre and spoke to the GM Kevin, who I eventually got a hold of after weeks of trying as he’s never in or available and doesn’t seem to get back to memeners as I left over 5 messages. Eventually when I did speak to him he took all my details and said he’d get back to me. This is over a month ago. Biggest mistake joining this bunch.
