Gym Membership Dispute

<p>I use to stay in Montana Pretoria 3 years back. I use to go to Planet fitness there. I reached the end of my Contract term and wanted to cancel my contract. So I went in and they gave me a cancellation form to fill out. So I did and returned it to them, at that moment they were doing renovations on the gym and had a small reception area setup on the side of the building. I gave my form to one of the Planet fitness Employees that were sitting there and helping people he then said that he will file my cancelation and everything will be sorted. Then after almost 3 year I get a mail from SAYA recoveries saying that I owe the gym R9305.89!!! So I phoned the gym and tried to get to the bottom of this, the lady again said that she will investigate and get back to me within 72 hours. Never heard from her again!!! I received another mail from mail from SAYA recoveries today(1 July 2016) saying that now I owe Planet Fitness R10814.77. How is it that I cancel my contract with them by doing everything they asked of me and the I get this. How is it that you never hear from them by form of a statement that I owe something or a sms to let me know that I owe them money? Only thing I hear from them after 3 years is in a mail from SAYA recoveries!!!</p>
