GYM IS MEANT TO BE ENJOYABLE

So many incidents of bad service, unhelpful staff and frustrating moments have been experienced by myself and my two daughters at this gym over the last 6 months but my final complaint happened on Sunday 8 March. My car was in Johannesburg, along with my black tag and this was reason enough for the staff to deny my daughter access to the gym, even though I pay monthly for the luxury of having my daughter accompany me occasionally. Surely my status can be checked on the computer system, showing all my details, including my black tag status. I was informed by the staff member that she could not break the rules and allow me to bring my daughter with me without my black tag. When I requested that she allow me to sign in manually I was asked if perhaps I didn't understand ... I understood perfectly, my confusion had more to do with the 'red tape' and the fact that on occasion I may forget my tag, certainly not on purpose. Does this really need to result in not being allowed what contractually I'm entitled to? Is there really no room for human error? Could the staff not be more helpful and pleasant? If perhaps this is 'a rule' is it not time to make allowances?
