Get everything in writing especially about levy debit order dates

We joined planet fitness on the 29th of August 2019, before joining, we were advised by Joseph that there would be levy deducted in the Month of june 2020, which we agreed to as we were now fully prepared to have the levy come off our bank account in July and therefore signed the contract. The next day we received a call from Rudi to find out if we were happy with everything and if we we told about the levy and we said yes we are aware that we have to pay a levy in July 2020 as per the sales person. Not once did Rudi dispute the fact that the levy would not come off in July but rather in December 2019. We were not prepared for an extra One thousand rand levy, especially when we have 3 kids who need school clothes, books and so on for 2020. My wife and I visited the club today to try and sort out the matter, and tried to make an arrangement for the levies, but were informed we would not have access to the club until memberships and levies were paid in full. Planet fitness will tell you whatever you want to hear, weather it be true or not... Just to get you to sign up with them. We would not have signed up in August had we know we were going to have to pay the levies in December, a month we are fully aware we would not be able to afford the levy due to school expenses for 3 kids.
