In 2020 I signed a contract with Planet Fitness Queenswood for exactly a year because I knew I was going to the US for work in 2021 . Before I left for the US I left exactly enough money in my account dealing with debit orders to pay for the rest of the year that was left on my contract at Planet fitness . Planet Fitness went and renewed my contract for another year without my consent or asking me about it. I did not have enough money in my account because I left just enough to finish paying my contract so the debit order hopped on my account .

I called their call centre several times and sent someone to the branch to try and resolve this problem . They said everything is sorted out and they won't try to debit order me again , they did not keep their word and try again for 2 months in a row .

When I came back to SA at the end of 2021 I went to see them and they said the problem is resolved again and the manager did not want to put it on paper . They tried again to take a debit order and I returned it to my account .

Their attorneys sent me a letter of demand that I should pay for one month and then the contract would be cancelled .

I struggeled 6 months to resolve this problem . They do renew your contract without you knowing and then just keep on taking debit orders from you account .
