False representation of membership by a consultant

Me and my Partner went to view the Planet Fitness in Umhlanga Rocks, when we arrived we where taken to the office to discuss the gym and amenities. The consultant then told us if we joined that day we would get a months free membership the following month as it was month end already. We then asked him about a planet fitness in Ballito because thay where we live and he said yes they busy building one and when it's done they can just move our membership to that gym. He then was very pushy for us to sign up to the membership and said that the special was ending that day. So he asked for our banking details and I said to him I cant remeber my banking details and he said he will give me the telephone and I can phone the bank and get them. Eventually i gave him the banking details because he was very pushy. He then took us around the gym and back to reception for us to sign some documents and get the tags. The paperwork was rushed and we where both told just to sign by the x. Nothing was explained and no copy was given to us. We where told after our free month we will pay R199 for 2 months and then R299 for the remainder of the contract. At the end of our first month, we where both debited 2 payments of R199. When we contacted the Branch they said there is no such thing as a free month. So we went to the branch to see the consultant who was standing near the branch manager. So we told him we have paid twice and where is the free month. He then said he will credit the one payment. Surprise surprise, that never happened and once that never happened we contacted the Branch manager who said again there is no free month and they no building a gym in Ballito. This made me very angry as that is why we signed up to the gym. The consultant blatantly **** to us to get us to sign up and when this was brought to the branch managers attention, he done nothing about it. I then contacted the call center and wrote and email regarding this ans told them we want our membership cancelled and we will not pay anything to do it as there consultant gave us false information and nothing was done about it. I then got on email that we have to pay almost R2000 each to cancel the membership. I then responded again to tell them I am not paying because there consultant **** to us. I have sent 2 emails since then and I have had no response what so ever.
