False Advertising

When I signed my contract with Planet Fitness nobody ever explained that it was a 2 year contract, and the adverti*****t did not either. I even asked the salesman if the contract I was signing was hiding anything that I needed to read, as I started reading it (jargon I did not understand for the most part) he said no - nothing. You are signing for one year paid upfront. <br> I received a call from Planet Fitness at the end of the one year to ask me if I had a contract and if I was interested in one? I said to the salesman that I had recently finished a one year contract and was not in the financial position to take another contract out. At the end of that month my account was debited with an installment for Planet Fitness!<br> <br> I work very long hours in summer and have not had time to contact Planet Fitness until now, and of course I get a call telling me that I am going to have to pay the arrears (cancelled debits) and pay for a cancellation fee. The lady that phoned me from the Queries has no idea how to deal with this!<br> <br> I feel like I am being taking for a fool! I really just want this to go away without me having to fork out money I do not have for a contract I was not aware of.
