EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED AND UPSET CLIENT

I am extremely shocked at the manner in which Planet Fitness is/has handled my account. I am a member at Hennopsview since last year. To date, I missed two payments wherein I was called by one of the staff members to inquire about the missed payment as well as a text to remind me to make payment. Fast forward to last week, I called their Customer Care to request a transfer from one club to the other only to find out that I "owe" the club since February this year. The shocking part is that my account has been debited. Although I have not monitored the debits on a monthly basis, I can safely recall and confirm that a debit order went off from my account end of July and end of August.

I called thrice with no assistance. One of the many people that I spoke to advised that I email all my bank statements to their customer care which I did and still have not received any response. I called once again to make a follow up only to find that the alleged money that I supposedly owe has now gone up within a 72 hour period of the email I sent them with my bank statements. This is by the way, after they debited my account. Their useless customer care line is unable to assist,all they tell me is that I must send an email to customer care, it has been over 5 working days. I called today, THRICE requesting to be put through to their legal department only to get cut off, THRICE. The worst part is that one of their consultants informed me that my account has been handed over to debt collectors. How in the world does that happen when they have been debiting me? Furthermore, how do they hand over my account without making any attempts to contact me through calls, texts and emails? Information which they have on their system, contact information which has not changed? It get worse, I made a request to cancel my account. A request which their consultant logged but still no followup on their side. Can someone please help me terminate this useless contract so I can go to a well managed fitness company? I Implore you.
