Downhill

Having been a member of Planet Fitness Wanderers for some time now, I feel I should air a few grievances brought up by a number of us members. For the last 2/3 years the gym has been on a steady decline. Aircon off, and the use of partial fans scattered around the gym so it’s stuffy and hot. I figured it’s for energy saving reasons, so I’ll accept that. The ladies sauna is very well used, probably overused and that’s why it’s constantly breaking. But the frequency at which it breaks is becoming a joke. Why not just install a better one? It’s most likely that the users aren’t adhering to the rules (which I believe need to be instilled by staff) and therefore wrecking the steam room and sauna regularly! But have them fixed. We pay so much here and remain loyal, even throughout water shortages, dirty bathrooms, stuffy conditions. We keep coming to this gym. Most recently we noticed that the water fountains that always produced cold fresh water now pump out room temperature tap water. To what lengths will the cost cutting go? Staff are friendly, and the manager does the best he can and obviously has only a limited range in which to make changes as we realise the major changes need to come from above. The ones with the budget at their disposal! Cleaning teams need to be present in the bathrooms more to manage the disgusting habits of some women who are simply filthy and mess things up, other than that they try hard. Getting a machine repaired can take days - why?! It’s a gym… stuff breaks all the time so surely there’s a team dedicated to maintenance? We all enjoy the space and have made friends here so we don’t wish to move on, but considering what we all pay, we are not receiving very high standards here. Planet Fitness - what is going on?!
