Double debit

I joined in nov 2024 by northmead square how ever in that time frame my bank card was ****** I tried for 5 months yo get them to update my banking details then when they finally did they double debited me a second time I find this truly not fair as I have waited so long going in every month paying my account so I dont fall behind can you advise why I had to pay double and where does the money go?
