Don't sign up with them! Go to Virgin!

I urgently have to cancel my gym subscription. I was placed on hold for like 3 hours & numerous phone calls. The person who 'helped' had no clue how to handle my request. Then they said I had to pay a cancellation fee of more than R1000! There's NOTHING in our contract about a cancellation fee. Then she said 'o but there's a law that says we can charge that', she couldn't state the law in which it supposedly is. & IF there was a law like this, in my initial contract it should've been stipulated! <br> I've always been a satisfied PF customer, but now I'll never go back to them. Shady fees with no backing appearing all of a sudden?! Ridiculous. A couple of friends have cancelled with Virgin - swift, helpful & easy..
