Do not join planet fitness if you can't always go to gym

I'm currently on maternity leave so I cannot use my gym membership at all at the moment, I have tried asking them if my husband can go on my behalf as I have the black tag membership they said no the only way he can go is if he joins on his own name. I tried to cancel it but it costs a R1000 to cancel. This is not fair so I'm giving them free money every month for nothing.
