DISHONEST SALES PERSON

My husband and I joined the Krugersdorp club in November 2017. We were helped by one of the Indian twins working there. We were told that for the first 6 months of the contract, we would pay only R199 and thereafter because we both have Edgars accounts, we will only have to pay R299. In December 2017 we were debited for alot more money, and after phoning them, we were told about the annual levy (that wasn't mentioned once whilst signing up). We then let that slide, so for the next 5 months we were indeed only debited R199, but at the end of April 2018, we were debited for R349 each. I then phoned the customer service centre, and the lady I spoke to said that we need to pay R349 each as per the contract. When I asked for a copy of the contract, she said she will send it to me and put me on hold; after holding for about 3 minutes, she came back to me and said that the system is offline and that I can't get the contract due to this. Now, I tried to find additional information online, and I found that the R299 price is only for Edgars Club member. If this is indeed the case, why the heck did the salespperson not state this to us and why did we then have to show our Edgars account cards????? We left another gym to join them, and now we are paying more because of a sneeky, dishonest person.
