Deceptive Practices and Hidden Fees

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Planet Fitness Gym. When I joined, I was assured that my monthly membership fee would cover all costs associated with my gym access. However, I was later shocked to find an unauthorized annual levy debited from my account, a fee that was never communicated to me during the sign-up process.

When I reversed this unauthorized debit order, Planet Fitness - Morning has promised to decline my entry as of today 25 July 2024, citing arrears. This is despite the agreed monthly premium being deducted from my account without issue. It is clear that this gym does not prioritize transparency or ethical business practices. Once you become a member, expect to be treated as nothing more than a cash ***.

I would advise anyone considering joining Planet Fitness to be very cautious. Make sure to ask about all potential hidden fees upfront, as the lack of clear communication and disregard for ethical principles has left me feeling deceived and unfairly treated.

Your response is nothing more than a PR stunt. 36 hours later, no one has contacted me to resolve the issue. The lack of transparency and unauthorized levy remains unaddressed and seems like that's how. you conduct your business. You made me to make payment arrangement to access gym today for something I never agreed to when I signed up.

I expect immediate action, not empty promises!

You know very well that the reference number is for the payment arrangement I was forced to make just to gain access. This will result in the levy being deducted over the next two months. Clearly there is no genuine intention to resolve the core issue.

Nothing has been resolved. My membership is still not corrected, and you’ve split the undisclosed R1,000 annual levy into two payments over the next two months. It’s clear that you have no interest in being transparent and honest, just as you weren't about the levy from the start. Now, you’re trying to handle this privately, which only confirms your lack of transparency.
