Craighall Gym moves away and expects me to just "deal with it".

I went to the PF Gym in Craighall Park until recently. The gym itself was nice enough, however I have had a pretty terrible experience ever since the gym decided to pack up and move to some other area near Sandton, away from my usual commute from home and work.

So I had no choice but to cancel my membership and they came back with: "You are still within the minimum duration of this membership; this means that a settlement fee of 1,998.00 due for payment."

I understand the contractual obligation I had with the "Craighall Gym" however I think it is a little unfair to assume I would be able to go out of my daily commute to a different gym that is no longer the "Craighall Gym". Now that I want to leave due to reasons beyond my control, I have to pay an exorbitant fee!?

I'm sure this company has disrupted and taken money from people under these unreasonable circumstances. I would avoid them altogether from now on because of this.
