Complain about Planet Fitness Brakpan/ Aerobics Sound System

This complaint regarding the ongoing neglect and poor maintenance at Planet Fitness Brakpan. Frankly, I am extremely disappointed and frustrated by the consistent lack of urgency and accountability from management.

The sound system in the aerobics studio has been out of order since Tuesday, 13 May 2025, and as of today, nothing has been done to restore it. This is completely unacceptable. I joined Planet Fitness Brakpan specifically for the group aerobics classes, and without sound, these sessions are ineffective and frankly pointless. It is shocking that such a fundamental issue is being ignored for over a month with no communication or resolution in sight.

This, unfortunately, is not an isolated incident. Since the beginning of the year, we have had to endure repeated service failures. The women’s steam room is rarely functional, often only working twice a week before breaking down again. On 13 March 2025, a formal complaint was submitted about broken equipment — including the steps and a significant number of cycling bikes — and yet to date, the situation remains unresolved.

It is deeply concerning that members are paying full membership fees while receiving substandard service. The ongoing neglect and failure to address basic maintenance issues reflect poorly on the management team’s priorities. We are not being taken seriously, and that is unacceptable.
