club revamp

<p>Hi all</p> <p>Dont know who else has this same experience with this gym, myself and my wife joined in January this year at the Mega club in Centurion. we signed up for a 12 month contract @ R525 per person per month.</p> <p>Now first problem is that we were NOT told with the sign up that the gym would be undergoing a revamp and we would not be able to use the facility for a couple of months otherwise we would have joined at another club or rahter left it all completely.</p> <p>I just got off the phone with Surprise Ndlovu (04/05/17 @ 10h45) who told me that they DIDNT know about the clubs revamp until March and thats when they sent out the Notifications, how could a HUGE project like this only be given a Months planning? Surely they knew!?</p> <p>I asked Surprise that i would like the whole contract to be frozen for both of us until the revamp is complete or they should Cancel the remainder of the contract and we can then re-join after the revamp to which he responded that they are unable to freeze the contract and that if i would like to Cancel that there was going to be a Cancelation fee.</p> <p>This to me is totaly UNACCEPLTABLE, if we were told this from the start this would be another story but was not the case.</p> <p>We know and acknowlage that we can Gym at any other club BUT no 1 it takes you 15mins to get in as we are not on their system, No 2 is the smaller gym in Hennopspark is unbelievably busy at our gym times (and further) and No 3 we joined that specific club because of the convenience, we cant in todays busy life travel 20 mins to another gym or gym in your Lunch break.</p> <p> </p>
