Change of membership

When we signed up, we didn't have all of our details, we had my ID and my partners banking details. So that's how we signed up, it was my membership, with my partners banking details. We were told the day we signed up that we can change it on the Monday with no hassle. We were not informed that a charge of R800 was to be paid? We were told by the consultant that all we had to do was bring my partners ID and that's that. Apparently they don't even have the authority to change it, they have to go through head office... I have sent a number of emails, tried to phone to change it and find out why we were not told about the R800 fee. And in my eyes, to change a name on a document costs R800!? That's insane...
