Cellphone Theft at Planet Fitness Wanderers

On Tuesday, 12 June 2019, at approximately 18:00 someone broke into my locker and stole my phone in my bag at Planet Fitness Wanderers. It seemed like the ***** got access to the locker by forcing my padlock open with a blunt hand tool. I immediately reported the incident to staff and they only responded with an insincere ‘sorry’. One of the staff members checked the cleaners' room to see if it might have been an inside job. Planet Fitness also promised that the manager will call me the next day, but I am still waiting for that call. Needless to say, I’m very unhappy with the situation; it’s a loss in excess of R10k (not to mention inconvenience, lost photos, and everything else on my phone). I’m paying a premium every month to use a gym in an environment that’s presumed to be safe; however, my phone was ****** on the Planet Fitness premises in a secured locker during peak hours with no one apparently seeing the perpetrator. #planetnowitness There are no notices to inform guests and members of the risk of using the lockers in the change rooms. I am strongly considering switching to Virgin Active cause Planet Fitness can't tell me how they are going to prevent this from happening in the future,
