Can't get a contract cancelled!!!!!

Can someone at that Gym pleeeeeeeeese cancel a contract?! I was assured that when I take out a contract it will ONLY be for 12 months and NOT be renewed. This is not the case! After both my wife and myself contacted Planet Fitness and asked them to not renew the contract after the initial 12 months, they carried on and did it anyway. This is the worst place ever.
