CANCELLATION OF CONTRACT

Good day<br> <br> Earlier in the year I was hounded down by Tomas to join the club (I am speaking 5/6 calls a day). At the time I asked him whether I would be able to cancel the contract without penalties if my circumstances change and he assured me I could. Since then my granddaughter has come to live with me which means additional expenses. When I contacted Planet Fitness to cancel they informed me there is a cancellation fee of R2000.00. Bear in mind I have never been able to use the gym as they do not have a childcare facility. Then to top everything I get a debit on my account for R399.00 this morning and when I contacted them they tell me it is a levy. Levy for WHAT. I am unable to use the facility as it no longer meets my need, i.e. childcare for a two year old. I want to cancel this contract and not pay a further cent to these people. Gyms should be closer monitored. The government is killing the insurance industry yet these charlatans are allowed to get away with whatever they please, debiting accounts whenever they please and just flipping the consumer the bird as \you signed".
