Cancellation no response, threat of legal action.

Planet Fitness must be crazy drunk or something to be sending me massages of legal action about my account in arrears...... the same account I have been trying to cancel for months and have been ignored! At first after a number of attempts I got a cancellation quote which was wrong and the lady could not explain how she got to those payments and then when I questioned the correctness of the quote I was ignored, I have been ignored since then and the debit orders are going through and returning unpaid......as there is no money on the account. Why are my rights to cancel this contract being violated and who do I contact for recourse of such? As a consumer surely someone must have my interests.
