Cancellation but continued debits

Cancellation nightmares I cancelled my membership last year due to relocation and everything was done on, knowing full well what ny financial obligations were. I cancelled and got a reference for September turns out Cancellation only kicked in, in December. That i understood as perhaps the end of contractm i was then debited continually thereafter. I have called to query this and every time people log either a cancellation or a debit order dispute or a refund dispute and i havent received anything. It's been a waste of time and it is not pleasant to think if i relocate again I'll have to seriously overthink joining the gym cause cancellation is a nightmare of endless calls that seem to not be fruitful at all.
