Canceled account and being held accountable for a ridiculous amount

I signed up for a contract with your business close to 3 years ago. I also canceled my contract when I decided to go under debt management as I am currently unemployed. I have been getting on off phone calls from Landau attorneys once every few months and when I told them to investigate my cancelation and my debt counseling and come back to me, they never do.

Today I receive a sms stating that I am almost R8000 indebted with you!!!!!! WHAT?! HOW am I supposed to pay that money under debt management!!! I have also not set foot in your gym in over 2 years????

I expect someone from Planet Fitness to contact me because obviously your attorneys that are handling this matter is not taking it seriously. Shocking!!!!
