Bad bad bad planet fitness

Wanted to cancel my membership. Everything was organised for the membership to be cancelled. Then I received a phone call from a consultant asking if I would like to put my membership on hold for another 3 months to give me time to reconsider. I wanted to cancel as I was retrenched. So after 3 months I received an email stating the debit order is going to go off. When I contacted Planet Fitness they told me that 1 debit order must go off R399 before they can cancel. This is totally unacceptable. I wanted to cancel in the fist place if they just let me cancel and didn’t have a consultant bullying me to extend for another 3 months everything would’ve been fine. Also they don’t tell you these things like oh hi your account needs to be debited before you can then cancel, no they don’t care to take more and more money. Now I need to get R399 before month end for them to debit. Total bull****
