Automatic Renewal of Contract Without Notification

Having run overdue on my PF account for its final three months, three months worth of payments owed since 01/10/2015 had been made on January 7, 2016. My contract expired, as per email conversation with Saya Recoveries (PF's Legal Representatives and debt collection / law firm) back on the 2nd of March 2015, on the 1st of December 2015 (01/12/2015) but yet upon confirmation of payment made with Saya Recoveries, it was discovered that an amount of R 1 626.30 was owed on my account. This is delusional and completely incorrect. How Planet Fitness calculated three months to equate to R 1 626.30 (3 x R 240.96 = R 722.88 - ACTUAL AMOUNT OWED) is beyond me. I paid in R 935.22 on the 7th of January 2016 to settle the amount outstanding on this account yet Delisile Dube of Saya Recoveries still insists that even though this account expired on 01/12/2015, and I was not notified 40 days prior to expiration that my contract has an automatic renewal option. As per the Customer Protection act, PF needs to submit this in writing, to me, which I never received. PF won't get another cent out of me. I cannot begin to explain the frustration caused by such incompetence at Planet Fitness. So useless
