Absurd cancellation fees

Joined PF last year Sept for a 2 year contract and I was informed that if I want to cancel my membership chargers will apply unless I cancel my contract after a year. I called to cancel my membership end of last month ‘Oct’ which is over a year already and now I’m being charged 4x my monthly fee to cancel. I argued this with the lady on the phone and I told her I’m cancelling this membership cause I can’t afford it anymore and I was informed I can make arrangements in paying it even though I don’t agree with the amount. I’ve been waiting for a call to make arrangements for this so called absurd amount now they have deducted from my account. I never agreed to this fee cause I also don’t understand why I should be charged 4x the amount of my monthly fee to cancel. If you want to join PF know that you will be charged ridiculous amounts without any explanations.
