Painful nails done at Placecol Centurion Lifestyle

I had my nails done with a Polish Pro (Light Cured Polish) application. My nails are rarely painted, which means they are in a good and healthy condition. This was for an event that I have coming up. I explained this to the the******.

The the****** asked how I would like my nails filed, and I said straight with slightly rounded corners, not much shorter, as they were already quite long. After filing with a hard file, which I did not think was necessary, she moved on to push back my cuticles. This started to hurt, and I told her, but she continued. From there, she moved on to cutting the cuticles - but instead of cutting, she pulled them off the skin and they started bleeding. This was incredibly painful and I had to stop her from doing it to the other hand as well. When she started with the base coat, she warned that it would sting (by now two of my fingers were bleeding). It didn't sting - it burnt like hell and my eyes started tearing up from the pain. She continued even after I told her how much it hurt.

When everything was done, I realised that the ends of my fingertips were hurting badly. When I had a closer look, I saw that my nails were filed far too short, which explained the pain. When paying, I told the manager how much pain I was in, but she rep**** by saying it was because I was on antibiotics and don't have my nails done regularly. She also recommended that I soak my nails in milk. I still paid the full price of R220 - which is a lot of money for a painful and traumatic experience.

After leaving the salon, I also noticed that the ends of my nails were not filed and painted neatly.

As a regular client for other treatments like waxing, I will still not return to Placecol Centurion Lifestyle because of this experience. I felt like my needs were not taken into consideration, the the****** did not listen to my complaints and she did not take any of my requests as well as the condition of my hands into consideration. I would not want this experience to happen to another client, and I feel if I don;t bring it under your attention, it will surely happen to someone else too.
