Bad, bad service

I visited Pk Print on *29 June 2026* on a referral for Bronwynn. She confirmed. . I told her I needed *15x A3 booklets, folded to A4 and stapled* for an AGM the next day and I was clear upfront: print all files first, then I’ll confirm the order. Cost was not an issue due to the urgency.

*What went wrong:* 1. *Unwelcoming service*: I was met with no greeting or smile and felt unwelcome from the start. 2. *Printed without confirming*: She printed my front page immediately without asking about cropping or layout, and the quality was very poor with no crop app****. An experienced print operator should confirm specs with a client before running any job That's the basic rule for any printer especially a Manager. 3. *Repeated her layout fees*: Before I’d even finished sending files, she kept stating x 3 times “Layout will be R350”. I made it clear I was not asking for layout, just print and finish. 4. *Her Attitude only changed when challenged*: After I mentioned 18 years’ experience in printing industry and that I could run the any machine myself, her tone changed. She then reprinted the front page correctly while I was paying. I know if your files is not in pdf format, they will add on layout fee to convert, combine into booklet format, but you can also place the physical pages in correct order and print a booklet.. 5. *No escalation*: When I asked for the manager, she said “I am the Manager”. Then I was totally flabbergasted, especially regarding her attitude, service delivery. My question is, what business will place a manager of her caliber in charge.. To me personally, price is never an issue for any client if your service delivery is of high standard.

I paid and left, stating I will never return. I went to *Wizardz in Gardens* instead and received professional service, correct specs confirmed upfront, and paid far less than Pk Print quoted only for layout. Friendly service from all staff present. Completed in a nick of time with no fuss.. Perfectly

For anyone needing urgent, accurate print work with clear communication, I cannot recommend Pk Print based on this experience.
