En-route to our holiday destination in Limpopo (Sept 2024), the dashboard of our vehicle (well-known luxury 4x4) lit up like a Christmas tree. Our mech for this specific brand advised us to arrange for a rollback recovery vehicle to have the vehicle brough back to Pta. We felt devastated and disappointed since the vehicle was serviced in Pta 3 days earlier. We were 5km from Modimolle/Nylstroom. We decided to drive the vehicle slowly towards Nylstroom and consider our options. We found PJ Motors on Google. On arrival at PJ Motors we discussed our predicament with them. The owner, Pieter (busy working in the workshop) was informed accordingly. He immediately came to our assistance. After checking everything on his computer analyser things started looking bad for us. Pieter hoisted the vehicle and found the problem within 5 minutes. A wire connecting the vehicle’s computer to the suspension was broken (due to poor craftmanship in Pta). The vehicle could have been seriously damaged as a result. We were back En-route to our holiday destination within 60 minutes and had no issues with the vehicle since then. Costs? We were willing to pay what 3 nights stay at a guesthouse would cost; we left with paying a mere R300. PJ Motors in Nylstroom and its staff are commended for friendliness, honesty and knowledge. Highly recommended and well-deserving a 5 Star rating.
