Metal piece found in Desert

On the 10th of May 2021 my husband and I went over to Del Forno Sunward Park to have dinner which was the very first time we visited a Del Forno restaurant and from my experience I will never support this restaurant again.

We ordered our meals and they were fine but the evening started going South when we ordered desert.

I ordered a chocolate volcano and it was lovely but halfway through I found a piece of metal/steel whatever you call it in my desert, I then contacted the waitress (Patrish) to tell her about what had happened she apologised and explained that the desert comes as batches from the head office and she cannot give a reason as to why that was in my food. I then asked her to take the desert away cause I lost my appetite and couldn’t continue eating, she took the desert to the kitchen then we asked her for the bill and she came over and explained that she spoke to her manager. After paying the bill and getting doggy bags I had to request to see a manager from Patrish who explained that only the kitchen Manager is present, the store manager is off duty and only he can assist. He then took his time to come to us, he explained that these are batches they get from head office and they don’t know how this got there. He wasn’t apologetic, took very long to come and couldn’t even take down my details to get a store Manager to contact me to somehow resolve this.

I believe Managers play a pivotal role in a business and if he is the only Manager left at a store he then becomes responsible for the business not a person who doesn’t seem to care. I’m really disgusted at the service from Management and if this the kind of food that is prepared in batches from Head Office and sent through to the restaurants then I will never support Del Forno in future. Food needs to have a specific standard and companies have people in place who do quality check in their businesses to give customer satisfactory.

To be treated in this way is not acceptable and DEL FORNO does not give value for money.
