Bad Service
My husband just bought a car at Pitstop Motors. Drove it for 3days and realized that there is something wrong with the brakes and an oil light was flashing.
He immediately let the dealership know and their response was that he must pour oil in it. He did that but the light kept flashing. After 2 days he tried to switch on ignition and the battery was flat. We charged battery and called the dealership to ask if they had changed the battery and they claimed that the battery is new we just have to start the car everyday to make sure the battery is fine. My husband received a message from Charmaine the car sales rep for us to take the car to her sister's house so that it can be looked at. By the end of the day,the guy couldn't figure out what is wrong with the car.
At this point we had made up our mind that the dealership didn't care about their customers and all they wanted was our money. We laid a complaint with MFC because that's where we have finance. They advised us that they will handle the matter from here. They contacted the dealership. The next thing a tow truck was sent to our house to pick up the car so it can be fixed.
The car was picked up on the 27th of September. It is the 4th of October and only today we get feedback that the problem with the car is an oil pump and it will take 2 to 3 weeks to fix.
We had bought the car for the ff reasons:
We both drive company cars. My husband can't use his company car for private use. I am pregnant and due soon so I had to hand in my car as I'm on maternity leave. We needed a car for our family.
