PIRELLI TYRES ARE POOR QUALITY

I purchased 4 x Pirelli 26550VR20 S-STR 107 V tyres from AutoQuip Centurion. This cost me R18k. I have had endless problems with the tyres. Took them back to AutoQuip who said they would not even start to contact Pirelli about them as first they were a premium brand and nothing could be wrong and secondly, Pirelli will not admit to their tyres being faulty so no claim would be processed. Every 2nd month, I have to balance and align my tyres at a cost to me. On more than one occassion, I was told by thyre companies that the tyres were "oval". Even they would not assist with contacting Pirelli. 2 Weeks ago, I took them in again to TWT Centurion Lifestyle and the team there were most helpful. After trying to balance and even rotate on rims, they too could not get these tyres right. They then made an appointment with the Pirelli rep who cam out today to inspect. The guy's name is MARK and he had a look and with the eye, said the rims were damaged. Now, I have had the rims inspected and checked by a reputable company who did this on a machine. The rims are O**** Pirelli's Mark was not interested in this and was onl;y interested in finding a way out of a possible claim. A gentleman sitting in receiption at TWT and overheard my discussion with Mark said he had the same problem with this Mark from Pirrelli and he is only after one thing... trying to find a way to reputiate a claim.

Shame on you Pirelli for having people like this represent your company.

I will NEVER use Pirelli tyres ever and our fleet of +-50 vehicles across SA have been instructed to never use Pirelli - standard operating procedure going forward!
