PIRB Plumber... False sense of security
After building a new house in Knysna, The property was flooded because the plumber installed the wrong pipes for the storm water system, I reported this to PIRB via their website and followed all their instructions to the letter. The local inspector refused to inspect the property siting a potential contractual dispute. I am not aware of any contract dispute. the plumber was paid in full and he even issued his C.O.C. I ended up having to get another contractor to sort out the installation. PIRB did not protect this home owner from a Rogue PIRB member plumber. So it seems that you should rather choose a plumber that is not PIRB registered so you don't end up with a false sense of security.
