Wood in my peanuts

I bought a packet of salt & vinegar sachet Safari Peanuts. When i poured them into my mouth i bit down on something extremely hard. This nearly broke my back teeth. When i pulled out the hard object it was a roundish piece of wood. You can see it went through the de-shelling or husking process like the the peanuts did. There is no bark on it. I have kept the packet and the wood, taken pictures and sent it to their customer complaints. I have never heard a word back from them.
